Ryan Maron

Ryan possesses the attributes, skills and experience to impact sports teams or players across any skill set, having demonstrated this through his ownership of Cricket School of Excellence which he founded in 1999.

He has also enjoyed time as fielding coaching to both West Indies and Afghanistan (currently) which has taken him to all parts of the globe including several World Cups. Ryan’s professional management skills, hands-on approach and high-performance standards demonstrate his capability to impact players’ careers.

Ryan played professionally in both South Africa and Europe before hanging up his spikes. Ryan’s Cricket School of Excellence is prominent across South Africa while he has gone on to coach multiple franchise teams. Working alongside legendary Jonty Rhodes (The Jonty Rhodes Way) continues to be a career highlight.

Meet the team of professionals

Former Proteas and Titans cricketer
Capped at the highest level, Davids was known for his expansive strokeplay during a superb career that spanned over two decades.
Provincial netball player and coach
The ultimate netball role model, she has played for over 20 years and is accredited as a coach by Western Australian Netball.
Lushinka is capped by South Africa at both junior and senior level as well as by the Western Australian State Team.
International hockey player and coach
Steve is a former South African hockey player who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Soccer legend
Sergio is well known as a legend of the local game. He played for Hellenic, Cape Town Spurs and Kaizer Chiefs. He has also scouted for top teams in the PSL.
International Water Polo player
Duncan was a member of the South Africa men's national water polo team. He was a part of the team at the World Championships at the 2007 and 2009 World Aquatics Championships. Woods also served as the Senior Women’s Assistant Coach and Mental Support Coach South African Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams at the Tokyo Olympics.
SA youth cricket professional
Smith is the captain of the South Africa national under-19 cricket team. He made his Twenty20 debut in 2021 for Western Province.
Mountain bike rider
There are not many stage races in South Africa that adventurer Paris Basson has not ridden. So he knows where to find the best riding all along the country’s coastline.
Professional kicking coach
Gareth is a former professional player who works hard behind the scenes at various top teams, including the United Rugby Championship winning Stormers, to help their kickers develop their game and also assists with the backline skills.
Former professional cricket player
Telo was capped 37 times at first-class level by the Cobras, Western Province and then played for Derbyshire from 2005 to 2011. He has since been coaching across all levels from pathways to international teams.
